1- After installing the PrestaShop Marketplace module, how can the sellers register as vendors in the Marketplace?
After installing the Marketplace module the admin can enable the feature to register as a seller so that the customers can opt for the seller registration at the time of the account creation. The admin can also enable a separate seller form registration for the sellers so that sellers can register their accounts with all the details.
2- How the sellers can access the marketplace?
The sellers need to login into their account to access the seller account. Sellers can log in just like a customer and if the account is created as a seller then the seller will be able to access the seller interface. From this seller interface sellers can list products, view the orders, reviews and manage the listings.
3- How can the seller manage the shipping?
The seller can add their own shipping methods for their products. The Multi-vendor marketplace module allows sellers to configure their shipping methods.
4- How to send seller payment directly to the seller?
No, the marketplace module does not allow sending the payment directly to the seller’s account. Sellers can request the payout. Admin can automate the payouts using Paypal. In case you need to add more payout requests then it can be implemented as a custom change that will cost some additional amount.
5- How the admin will get the commission?
The PrestaShop marketplace module allows admin to charge the commission on the basis of the following ways:
- Charge a fixed commission to all sellers
- Charge commission on categories (different commission for each category)
- Charge different commission for each seller
The marketplace module also allows changing the subscription fees based on different conditions.
6- Does it allows us to make the commission based on the subscription plan?
Yes, the subscription-based charges can be implemented based on the different conditions like based on time interval, based on the number of products, or both.
7- How the seller and admin can contact each other?
Yes, there is a separate module – Seller Admin ticket System that allows sellers to get in touch with the admin. Please visit the link below to check the details.

8- Can multiple sellers list the same product using this Marketplace module?
Yes, multiple sellers can list the same products but the product will be shown as a different product on the website. In case you need to show some products from different sellers with the seller details and prices then it can be implemented as a custom change that will cost some additional amount.
9- How to automate the marketplace system for delivering payments to suppliers?
The seller's payment can be automated using Paypal payment. The admin can set up the CRON to automate the payment. Other payment methods can also be added to automate the payment but it will be treated as a custom change.
10- Does this Marketplace module Split Products in one order into multiple orders for each seller?
Yes, the Multi-Vendor Marketplace module Split Products in one order into multiple orders for each seller just like the default PrestaShop order split.
11- Will it be possible for vendors to create their own profile pages?
Yes, vendors can create their seller page with banners and other information like Shipping and Payment information, Privacy policy, Return handling information etc. The sellers can also add their social media profile links to the profile page.
12- Can we set a different commission for every vendor rather than setting one global value for admin commission?
Yes, this can be done by the administrator under the Seller account configuration section.
13- How sellers can ship and generate invoices at their end?
Yes, in this PrestaShop Marketplace module sellers can ship and generate invoices at their end. Sellers can manage their orders on their own.
14- How the shipping charges will be handled if there are 2 sellers’ item & admin items as well in the order?
In this PrestaShop Marketplace module, the shipping cost charged by each seller will be added to the total shipping cost and the total shipping cost will be displayed to the customer.
15- How many products can the seller list?
The marketplace module does not provide an option to restrict the products but if you have enabled the membership plan (subscription-based changes) then the admin can limit the number of products based on the subscription plan.
16- Is it possible for the seller to register as a customer on Marketplace?
Yes, the sellers can register as a seller.
17- Can sellers manage their orders?
Yes, Using this Prestashop Multi-vendor Marketplace module, the seller can manage the orders if allowed by the admin.
18- Which types of products the seller can add?
In this Prestashop Marketplace module, the seller can add various products - Simple, Configurable, Downloadable, Virtual.
19- How a seller can monitor the sales from the marketplace?
The seller will get an email on every product sale and can monitor the earnings from the seller dashboard by logging into their seller account.
20- Can Seller add Facebook and Twitter URLs?
Yes, in this Prestashop Marketplace module, under the “Seller Profile” section the seller can add various social links for their shop.
Admin Specific
1- How the payment received from the customers will be handled?
The multi-vendor Marketplace module transfers the order amount to the marketplace admin account. The customer will see only one cart and place the order for the different products offered by different sellers. The sellers can request the payout as per the earning.
2- Can the Marketplace administrator control which products to publish on the online marketplace?
Absolutely. The Marketplace administrator can determine which suppliers can be trusted to freely upload products and which suppliers require admin moderation and approval. It will also notify the vendors whether their product has been approved/disapproved by the admin along with the dis-approval reason.
3- How admin can set different commissions for different categories?
PrestaShop Marketplace module allows admin to set commission based on the categories. The admin can also assign the categories to the sellers. A seller can list the products to only an assigned category.
4- Is there any way for the admin to allow which order status can seller use for order handling?
Yes, the admin can allow some of the order statuses to the seller using which the seller can change the order status of the order if order handling functionality is enabled by the admin.
5- Does this Prestashop Marketplace module have the option to turn on the seller account request approval feature?
In this marketplace module, the admin can approve the seller account manually after review. There is a separate tab in the module back-office from where the admin can view and approve the requests. The admin can also restrict the number of times a seller can request for registration.
6- How can sellers run promotional offers or discounts on their products?
Yes, there is a separate addon – Marketplace Deal Manager Addon that allows sellers to run special discounts on their products. The sellers can run deals or discounts on different products or offer a coupon code for the products.
7- Does it allow vendors to show a notification message on their store/product pages if they are on vacation?
Yes, there is a separate addon – Marketplace Seller Vacation Mode that allows sellers to put on the vacation mode.
8- Is there any setting to notify the seller when low on stock for products?
Yes, there is a separate addon – Marketplace Low Stock Alert Addon that allows the admin to send the notifications to the sellers for the low stock alert.

9- Can the admin edit the email templates?
Yes, the PrestaShop Multi-vendor Marketplace module allows the marketplace admin to edit the email templates.
10- Can the admin add any custom fields for the seller registration page?
Yes, Admin can add the custom fields to the seller registration page.
11- We are having a 3rd party module is it possible to make it compatible with this PrestaShop Marketplace module?
Yes, we can make all the 3rd party modules compatible with this PrestaShop marketplace module but it will be treated as a custom change.
12- Is it possible to provide the option to upload the products in bulk to sellers?
A: Yes, this can be achieved by using a supportive module for Marketplace – Marketplace CSV Import/Export Addon.
13- How are payments for canceled orders balanced out? If the payment has already been made to the vendor, is it deducted in the next payment?
Admin can deduct the payment from the next payout/transaction. Admin can also ask the seller for payout.
14- How many sellers do this PrestaShop Marketplace module supports?
The PrestaShop Marketplace module does not have any restrictions on the number of sellers.
15- Which theme does this Marketplace module support?
This Marketplace module supports all kinds of responsive themes, templates, and custom themes/templates. In case of any conflict, our technical team will resolve the same without any additional cost.
16- How will the admin pay the seller share?
In the Marketplace module, the payment from the customer will go to the admin directly and the admin will manually transfer the seller’s share into their Account as the payout requests raised by the sellers. The payout method can also be automated using Paypal.
17- Can the admin set the seller category as which categories the seller can use?
Admin can set the categories for the sellers in which the sellers can list their products. Also, sellers can request the admin to allow the categories which are not allowed by the admin to that seller.
18- Can the admin create some plans for the sellers using which the seller can show a limited number of products.
In this Marketplace module, the admin can enable the membership functionality for the seller using which the seller can list their products on the store as per the opted membership plan. Also, if the seller's membership plan gets expired then the seller's products will automatically gets disabled from the store.
19- How admin can allow the seller to receive emails when an order is placed/cancelled for the seller product?
Yes, In this marketplace module using the enable/disable Send email to seller on order place functionality admin can allow the seller to receive the emails when an order is placed & for order cancellation admin can enable/disable the Send email to seller on order Cancellation functionality using this module.
20- How admin can allow the customer to review the sellers and their products?
Yes, in this PrestaShop Marketplace module admin can allow the customer to review the seller and their products.
21- Will this Marketplace module allows the admin to show sellers page link on the product page.
In this PrestaShop Marketplace module, the admin has the option to decide if he/she wants to show the sellers page link on the product page or not.
22- Is it possible for the seller to manage the order returns?
Yes, using the PS return manager module, the admin can allow the seller to manage the order return from the seller's dashboard.
23- Does all the seller's reviews need admin approval?
In this Marketplace module, the admin can manage that he/she wants to approve/disapprove the seller's reviews or the seller reviews should be shown directly to the customers.
