Unzip the zip file. You will get the folders as shown in the image below

 

Copy all the folders of the zip file in the Root Directory of OpenCart setup via FTP manager.

3.1 Module Configuration

How to configure Gift Card Manager for open Cart? OpenCart Gift Card Manager Module Configuration settings consist of the following four parts, as discussed below:

3.1.1 Configuration 

Enable/Disable Module: Enable or disable the gift card feature of your shop.

Enable/Disable Header Link: Show or hide the gift card link in the header section of the website. By showing the Gift Card link in the header, you can bring it to the attention of the store visitors.

Enable/Disable Left Link: Enable or Disable gift card link in the left section of the website. A direct call to the Gift Card Action button will be shown on the storefront. It will help you encourage the selling of gift cards.

Enable/Disable Footer Link: This allows the admin to show or hide the gift card link in the footer section of the site.

Enable/Disable My Account Link: With this button, the admin can show or hide the gift card link in the My Account section of the site. This will help store owners to show the gift card options to the visitors.

Enable/Disable Personalised photo: This option allows the admin to hide or show the functionality of uploading personalized images from the front end to send the same in the gift card.

Gift Card Prefix: This option helps the admin to set the gift card voucher code prefix. The admin enters the code in a ‘Store_Name- * * *’ format. Admin can use this as a branding suffix. The store owner will advertise the store by using its business name as a prefix.

Gift Card Code Order Status: This button sets the status of the store orders when the gift card delivers to the respective customer. If the order status is set as ‘Complete’, the gift card will be sent to the customer once the purchase of the gift card has been completed on-site.

Minimum Gift Card Delivery Gap: Using this tab, the store administrator can determine the minimum duration of time on which the order comes in. Moreover, the day on which the gift card delivers. Thus, this value is only applicable to the option Send by Email.

Fixed Amount Status: The online store merchant can activate or deactivate this option if he or she wants to display a fixed amount drop-down list. The admin can allow the customers to send the gift cards of their desired amount. Store Admin can set the minimum and maximum amount for the Gift Card.

Fixed amount: The admin can add multiple values and separate the same by a comma.

Max amount: The online merchant can set the maximum amount which is acceptable for a gift card by the OpenCart gift card manager. This function will work only if fixed amount status functionality will disable.

Min Amount: The store admin can set a minimum amount for the card purchase. The customer cannot buy a gift card lesser than that amount.

3.1.2 Email Settings

With OpenCard Gift Card Manager a gift card can be sent to the recipient via email. You can customize this email template. When the gift voucher email is sent another email will be sent to receive, and the sender will receive an acknowledgment email. All the email templates are customizable.

Recipient email Subject: The subject line of the gift voucher code email sent to the receiver are customizable.

Recipient Email Content: OpenCart Gift Card Manager allows eCommerce store owners to customize the contents of the gift voucher email code which will be sent to the recipient. 

Sender email Subject: An acknowledgment email is received at the end of the sender upon the successful delivery of the gift voucher code. The subject line of the sender’s acknowledgment email is changeable by the admin.

Sender email Content: The content for the sender acknowledgment email customizable by the store admin.

Customer email Subject: Admin can alter the subject line of the email and modify the email template.

Customer email Content: The online store administrator will send an email notification to online shoppers who have chosen the “Print by yourself” option.

3.1.3 PDF Settings

The purchaser of the gift voucher will print the OpenCart gift voucher in PDF format. The administrator will modify the contents of the PDF file. 

Gift Card PDF Prefix: This option allows you to set the PDF gift card prefix code attached to the document.

PDF HTML Content: You can modify or customize the contents of the PDF file as per business requirements. This template is in HTML format so you can easily add text, photos, or links to it. This PDF material can also publish in English, French, and other languages.

3.1.4 Cron Setting

The OpenCart Gift Card manager Module supports cron features. Admin can run cron manually or automatically after a specified period of time. A button is available for this functionality.

Add the cron to your store via the Control Panel to send gift cards automatically.

3.2 The Gift Card Template

To build new gift card templates using the OpenCart gift card module, go to the Gift Card design tab of the admin panel. Click the ‘Add New Template’ button or the ‘+’ sign on the top right of the OpenCart gift card screen. You can see the following settings to create a new gift card template for your store.

Add New Templates or Edit/Delete the Templates:

Add New Gift Card Template:

 Template Title: This is a new feature in this latest version of OpenCart Gift Card Manager which allows admin to add the template title.

Template Description: Now admin can add the description for the Gift Card which he or she wants to display on the front end.

Name of the template: This option allows the admin to set a unique name for the gift card template that defines a particular template.

Image: This option of the OpenCart Gift Card Plugin allows the admin to pick a gift card picture or model that will display at the front end of the shop. When selecting an image, only the images produced will display in the drop-down list.

Template Keywords: This choice lets you map the gift card design to a specific category. It can be achieved by choosing the appropriate tags/keywords for the gift card template. If you want to place the gift card template in a new category, you can first add the keyword and map the template to it. Just press the “Add new keyword template” button.

Physical Gift Card Allow: This option allows the OpenCart admin to activate or deactivate the physical gift card for this template.

Virtual Gift Card Allow: You can activate or disable e-cards for both the recipient and yourself. This means that when you activate the virtual card option, customers will see three options on their front page, namely “Print Yourself”, “Send by Email”, and “Physical Card”.

 Enable Template: This option easily activates or deactivates the template from OpenCart Store.

Select Language: The admin will pick the language of the template from the drop-down list.

3.3 The Gift Card Images

Pictures for various occasions are pre-uploaded at the back end of the OpenCart gift card manager.  The admin can select an occasion-based image when building a gift card template. In addition, the store owner needs to set the following configuration settings to attach a new gift card to the store.

Select the add product button available in the upper right corner. You will head to a new page where you can add new Gift card Images.

Gift Card Type: The store admin can upload a personalized gift card image to make the gift card more attractive.

Image Name: This feature is to add a name to the Image. This name is for recognition purposes of the admin and this won’t display on the front end.

Enable/Disable Image: With this button, the store owner can show or hide the particular Image from the front end.

3.4 The Gift Voucher Orders

For the admin interface Gift Card Order section is very important. Here admin can track the details of the orders of Gift Cards.

Under the Gift Card Order tab of the Gift Card Manager, the administrator can monitor the entire list of orders received for gift cards. It displays the e-mail address of the recipient, the date of the shipment, and the status of the gift cards.

In this section, you will find all the details about the order. Go to the ‘Display’ button in the right section of the ‘Gift Card Order’ page.

4.0 Front Interface

4.1 Different positions of gift card link

a)  The gift card link is shown at the left and header sections.

4.2 How to Purchase a Gift card?

Click on the Gift Card Button from any of the above-mentioned tabs. Customer will head to Gift card Page

  

  1. Choose Design: Select a design for your card according to the occasion from the options available.
  2. Choose an option for the Gift Card Delivery Mode

4.2.1 Print Your self

 

From(Name): Enter the name of the sender

To(Name): Enter the name of the receiver

Provide Gift Car Delivery Details

Email Address: Enter the email address of the receiver

Sending Date:  Add sending date of the Gift Card Notification email

 

From(Name): Enter the name of the sender

To(Name): Enter the name of the receiver

Upload Personalize Pic (Choose File): With the OpenCart Gift card manager, the Customer can choose a personalized Image that will be shown on the card.

Personalize message: A personalized message can be written by the customer.

4.2.3 Physical card

From(Name): Enter the name of the sender

5. Login via FTP OR Control panel & make the folder i.e. image/kbstore_locator writable. Once done, Go to Extensions ->Extensions ->Modules & Install the module.

3.0 Admin Interface of OpenCart Store Locator Extension

OpenCart Store Locator extension offers an easy customization option to the store admin. The various configuration options are discussed in detail below:

3.1 General Settings:

This General Settings page offer various configuration options as shown below:

  • Enable/Disable: The eCommerce store admin can activate or deactivate the store locator and pick-up plugin anytime just by toggling this button.
  • Enable/Disable Store Locator: The OpenCart Store Locator extension allows the admin to enable or disable the store locator in the front-end. By default, it will be enabled.
  • Enable/Disable the Pickup at Store: The admin can activate the pickup from the store just by toggling this button.
  • Google Map API Key: Enter the Google map API key in this section. A link is provided for generating an API key.

3.1.1 How to generate the Google Map API Key? General Settings:

The eCommerce store admin can generate the Google API key by following these steps:

  • Click on the “Get Started” button: The admin can click on this button to get the Google map API key.

  • Pickup the products: When the admin will click the “Get Started” button this pop-up will be displayed.

  • Project selection: The eCommerce store admin can select or create a project.

Setup the billing: The eCommerce store admin can now set up the billing.

After billing the store admin can get their Google map API key.

On the Credentials page, get an API key, store admin can select the API key option:

The admin can select the restrict key option from the dialog box to set a browser restriction on the API key.

In the Key restriction section, the store admin can select HTTP referrers (web sites), then follow the on-screen instructions to set referrers.

This way the admin can set the Google map API key.

Enable Libraries:

To use Google map API, You need to enable the following libraries in the Google Developer Project.

1. Maps Javascript API
2. Place API
3. Geolocation API

Steps to enable the libraries:
1. Click on the “Enable API & Services” button as shown in the image below:

2. After clicking on the “Enable API & Services” the following screen will appear:

3. Search “Maps Javascript API” & Click on the “Maps Javascript API” from the suggested list.

5. Repeat the same process to enable the Places API & Geo Location API.

3.3 Email Notification Settings:

The store admin can send an email to notify the pickup store of the orders. Ready to send email templates to make this easy for the store admin to inform the pickup stores about the order.

  • Enable Email Notification: The eCommerce store admin can enable this option for sending e-mail notifications to notify the pick-up store about the order. The admin can set the subject line both in English and French language. Customizable email templates are available for sending the email to the stores. The ready-made email template automates the process.
  • Subject: The store admin can set the subject line of the email.
  • Email template: The store admin can also modify the email template if required.

3.4 Store Settings

Under this tab, you will see the list of stores added by the admin. You can enable or disable existing stores.

The store admin can easily add a store from the admin panel. After clicking on the “add” button, a screen will be shown like below:

  • The store admin can easily add store name, full address of the store, and contact details also. The OpenCart pick-up module allows the admin to set the picture, status, and timing also.
  • The admin can easily insert the working days and hours of the store.

3.4.1 Import Store’s Contact:

By clicking on the “Import” button the store admin can upload store details in bulk. The store owner can download the sample file and insert all the details in this file. The admin can upload this file to import the store details.

4.0 Front End of the website:

The customers can easily view the nearest store and pick up the product. They can view the contact details, name, distance, and timings also. The customers can get the product faster and without paying the shipping charges

After clicking the Pickup at store option the customers can view the store locator.

The customers can place their pickup orders easily. The customers can select the date and time to pick up the ordered product.

3.1 General Settings

Under this tab the store admin can find the basic settings of the module and configure the module.

  1. Enable/Disable: Enable or disable the Opencart infinite scroll module in a single button click.
  2. Custom JS: Enter custom JS accordingly.
  3. Custom CSS: Store admin can enter custom CSS to change the look and feel of the Opencart infinite scroll module.

3.2 Advance Settings

From this tab the store admin can set the advance settings of the Opencart infinite scroll module.

  1. Display End Page Message: Select Yes to display the end page message. If the store admin enables this then an end page message appears at the ending of the products.
  2. Display Go To Top Link: Select Yes to display Go to Top link. If store admin enables this then a go-to top link appears when the customer scrolls the page.
  3. Display Loader While Loading: Select Yes to display loader while loading.
  4. Scroll Type: Select infinite scroll from the drop-down list to select scroll type.
  5. Show load more link after pages: If store admin selects the scroll type as load more products link then store admin has to enter the number of pages after which load more link appears.
  6. Sandbox Setting: Select Yes or No from the drop-down list for the Sandbox setting.
  7. Add IP: Store admin can add the specific IP address to test the working of the Opencart infinite scroll module.

3.3 Display Settings

Following are the settings listed under this tab:

  1. Background Color of Message Box: Select the background color of the message box.
  2. Text Color of Message Box: Select the Text-color of the message box.
  3. Border Color of Message Box: Select the border color of the message box.
  4. Background Color Of Top Link: Select the background color of top link.
  5. End Text: Enter the end text in either English or French language.
  6. Message and Top link preview: Store admin can the seethe preview of the end page message and go to the top link.

3.4 Selector Settings:

From this tab the store admin can set the selector details of the Opencart infinite scroll module. Please do not edit these settings if you are not fully sure about it as modification in these settings may lead to improper working of the module.

  1. Selector Item: Enter the selector item.
  2. Selector Container: Enter the selector container.
  3. Selector next: Enter the selector next.
  4. Selector pagination: Enter the selector pagination.

4.0 Front End of the OpenCart Infinite Scroll Module

When the OpenCart list view module by Knowband is enabled from the admin panel then on every product listing page pagination of the products would not appear. The customer will be able to view all the products just by scrolling down on the page and if the display go to top link is enabled then the link will appear on the bottom right of the page to scroll the customer back to the top of the page. When all the pages are loaded a message appears in the bottom which states that all the pages are loaded now.

OpenCart GDPR Module – User Manual

1.0 Introduction

The OpenCart GDPR module by Knowband provides a tool to the OpenCart store owners to meet the GDPR requirements imposed by the European Parliament. GDPR directives provide more rights to the EU citizens to protect their personal data.

New Data Protection Rights under GDPR:

1) Right of access by the data subject
2) Right to rectification
3) Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’)
4) Right to restriction of processing
5) Notification obligation regarding rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing
6) Right to data portability
7) Right to object
8) Automated individual decision-making, including profiling

The GDPR Extension for the OpenCart platform helps the store owner to provide an interface to the customers so that they can meet the GDPR requirements.

How can OpenCart GDPR module help you?

The OpenCart GDPR module by Knowband helps the sellers to comply with the GDPR directives without putting any extra efforts. By installing the OpenCart GDPR compliance module admin can display the GDPR Tools option on the account details page at the front-end of the customer or admin has the option to enable the GDPR rights for the guest users. On clicking the GDPR settings tab the customer will be directed to a new page.

As per the requirement admin has the choice to enable/disable any of these rights.

2.0 Installation of OpenCart GDPR Module:

After placing your order for the OpenCart GDPR plugin you can download the zip file of the module. This zip file contains:

1) OC_GDPR_v1.0.0.zip (source code of the module)
2) User Manual
In order to install the extension in your OpenCart store follow the below-mentioned steps:
1) Unzip the zip file.
2. Copy all the files and folders of the zip file in the Root Directory of OpenCart setup via FTP manager.
3. The OpenCart GDPR module is now installed and is ready to use. Go to Admin -> Main Menu -> Extensions

3.0 Admin Interface of OpenCart GDPR Plugin:

In the admin section of the OpenCart GDPR Customer rights module following options are available:

  • GDPR Rectification Request
  • GDPR Personal Data Request

3.1 GDPR Settings:

The GDPR Settings tab of the OpenCart GDPR Rights of the Individuals module allows the store admin to enable/disable the customer’s rights as per need. As per the settings enabled by the admin, the customer will be able to access the rights from his/her account. Please refer to the attached screenshot below:

  • Enable the Module:  As per the requirement, admin can Enable/Disable the OpenCart GDPR Compliance Module.
  • Maximum request per day:  Customers have the right to make request for the GDPR rights. Admin can set the limit for the requests on daily basis. It will be recommended to set the maximum requests per day to a minimum number to avoid the spam requests.
  • Enable Right of access to personal data: The right of access to personal data allows the customers to request for their personal details which they have shared with the data controller.

If this setting is enabled from the admin interface of the OpenCart GDPR plugin only then customers will be able to check their personal details by logging into their account. The screenshot of customer end has been attached below:

Step-1 – Request for the GDPR Personal Data report – OpenCart GDPR Extension

Step: 2 – Confirm the GDPR Request

Step: 3 – As soon as customer will confirm the GDPR Personal Data Request, an email with the customer details will be sent to the customer.

Step: 4 – Send personal report via email:  

Admin has the choice to display the customer data on the front-end or send the report to the entered email address. This setting will work for the logged-in customers only.

Step: 5 – Enable Right to Data Portability:  

Right to data portability allows the customer to download his/her personal data so that he/she can access and reuse this data.

If this setting is enabled from the admin interface of the OpenCart GDPR Module only then the customer will be able to download their personal data in CSV format. As of now, the OpenCart GDPR Module allows the customers to download their personal data like –

  • Account information
  • Address details
  • Order details

On requesting for the data portability customer will be able to download the CSV file with the required details.

Step: 6 – Data anonymization request:

Data anonymization option allows the customer to replace the personal details with the random data. The name, email-id and order details can be anonymized. As soon as customer will request for the data anonymization a confirmation email will be sent to the customer. If customer confirms the data anonymization request, as per the settings enable by the admin personal details like Name, Email Id will be replaced by random details. To process the data anonymization request the admin has the following option:

Enable the Data anonymization settings:

If the data anonymization settings are enabled from the admin interface of the OpenCart GDPR compliance module then customer will be able to request for the data anonymization and in this case, only customer name will be replaced by the random name.

If a customer request for the Data anonymization, then a confirmation email will be sent to the entered email address and customer will be requested to confirm the request.

Email confirmation:

On requesting for the data anonymization customer will receive the email with request to confirm the data anonymization request.

Note: In case you are using the third-party services and sharing the customer data with third-party, then you need to make the required changes as per the procedure followed by the service provider. This GDPR module will anonymize the data which you have stored in your database only.

Step: 7 – Enable to update information in Order:

If customer requests to make his/her information anonymous then admin can select the option to enable/disable the changes to the previous orders. If this setting is enabled from the admin interface of the OpenCart GDPR module then the previous order details will also get modified and shipping and billing details will be deleted.

Step: 8 – Enable to generate Fake Email ID:

Admin can select the option to replace the email id of the customer by fake email id. If the setting is enabled from the admin then after requesting for the Data anonymization customer will be requested to confirm the email-id anonymization. Please refer to the attached screenshot:

If customer submits the request for email-id anonymization then the email id of the customer will be replaced by the system generated email address. Please refer to the attached screenshot.

Step: 9 – Enable right to be Forgotten:

As per the new GDPR Directives customer has the right to request for the deletion of the personal data. OpenCart GDPR Compliance Module allows the customer to request for the deletion of his/her data by accessing his/her account. After receiving the request of the customer a confirmation email will be sent to the customer and as per customer’s approval, entire details of the customer will be deleted from the database.

The report request interface for the customer will be as below:

On requesting for the Account deletion request the customer will be notified that an email with the confirmation request has been sent to the registered email id.

Note:  
1) It is recommended to consult with your legal team before enabling this setting. After deleting the customer’s personal data it cannot be retrieved. Admin has the option to enable the delete order setting which has been explained in the next topic.  
2) In case you are sharing the customer data with third-party service providers then you need to delete the customer data manually. As of now, this module does not support the feature to delete the data shared with the third-party service providers.   
Example: If you are using MailChimp for sending promotional emails then you have to delete the customer details from MailChimp list manually.  

Step: 10 – Enable to Delete Orders:  

If a customer has requested for the data deletion request under the GDPR, then the admin has the choice to delete the personal data of the customer along with the previous order details. If this setting is not enabled from the admin interface of the GDPR module then only personal data will be deleted and order information will remain as it is.

Note: It is recommended to consult with your legal team before enabling the order deletion settings. The order details deleted from the system cannot be retrieved.  

Step: 10 –  Enable the right to data rectification:

A customer has the right to update the incorrect personal data. The OpenCart GDPR Customer Rights Module allows the store admin to let the customer modify the personal data like personal details, address etc.

Step: 12 – Enable Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling:

If this setting is enabled from the admin panel of the OpenCart GDPR compliance module then store admin will be able to list the services which make a decision by automated means.  If a customer requests for the services which makes decision by automated means then customer will get email to confirm the request. As soon as the user will confirm the request, user will be redirected to a new link. Here all the services with the automated decision making will be listed and user can select the one which he/she would like to continue.

Admin can list all the such services to the under the List the services which makes a decision solely by automated means.

Step: 13 – Enable Store Policy Acceptance:

The admin interface of the OpenCart General data Protection Regulation Plugin allows the store admin to enable the setting so that a checkbox with the option to accept the Terms and Conditions will be displayed to the customer before requesting for the GDPR reports.

Step: 14 – Store Policy Page:

Admin can add the URL of the page on which all the Terms and Conditions are listed. The customer can check the Terms and Conditions by clicking the link available with the message at the time of raising the request.

Step: 15 – Services/ Other locations where you store customer data:

The third party services which process the customer data like MailChimp or you have stored the customer data on different places like Google Drive then you can list the details of the third party services which uses the customer data.

Step: 16 – Physical locations of servers where you host your website and other data:

You can mention the server location here, where you store the customer data.

Step: 17 – Display Header Menu

Display Header Menu option of the OpenCart GDPR compliance Plugin allows the store admin to display the GDPR option in the header section of the website. By enabling “Display Header Menu” setting of the OpenCart GDPR Plugin, store admin can allow the guest users to access the GDPR rights.

Step: 18 – Header Menu Text

Admin can define the text for the Header Menu.

3.2 Cookie Consent Bar:

The OpenCart GDPR Module allows the store admin to display the Cookie Consent Bar at the front end with the option to accept the cookie or discard the message. Admin can easily customize the appearance settings as well as the message on the cookie bar.

The Cookie Consent Bar tab has following settings:

1) Configuration: Admin has following options to set-up the Cookie Consent Bar.

  • Enable the EU Cookie Law Notification: The Admin can enable or disable the cookie message on the website.
  • Cookie Name: In this section define the name of the cookie to get the user consent. Please do not use the space to the cookie name.
  • Cookie Lifetime: Cookie Lifetime allows the store admin to set up the cookie duration that how long the cookie will be stored on the user’s device.
  • Terms and Condition of use: The admin can list the cookies details on a Cookie Policy page and add the link to the page on the message displayed to the user.
  • Display Close Button: Admin has the option to remove the Close button from the Cookie Consent Bar.

2) Appearance Settings:

Admin can easily control the following options for the Cookie Consent Bar.

  • Notification Position: Admin can select the position of the Cookie Notice on the Bottom of the page or Top.
  • Effect when hiding the notification: Admin can select the options like Fade, Hide or Slide from the drop-down list.
  • Notification Message: Admin can easily update the notification message as per the requirement.
  • Background Color
  • Background Opacity
  • Notification Message Font Color

  • Background Color of Accept Button
  • Font Color of Accept Button

3.3 GDPR Data Portability:

In the GDPR data portability section of OpenCart GDPR Module, admin can check the log of the data portability requests from the back-end.

3.4 GDPR Forgot Request:

OpenCart GDPR extension keeps the log of the data deletion requests. Admin can use this information to remove the customer data from the third party services.

Note:

1. As soon as customer request for the deletion of his/her details a confirmation email will be sent to the customer. As per the customer’s confirmation the details of the customer will be deleted from the system. 

2. The OpenCart GDPR Module allows the admin to exclude the previous orders so that only the personal details of the customer will be deleted but order details will be saved for the future reference. Please use this setting carefully because the data deleted once cannot be retrieved. It is strongly recommended to consult with your legal team to make sure how to use this setting. 

3. The OpenCart GDPR Module only deletes the customer data from the store database. If you share the customer data with the third-party service providers (eg. MailChimp) or store it on third-party platform (eg. Google Drive) then you need to delete the customer data from these platforms manually.

3.5 GDPR Anonymous Request

OpenCart GDPR extension keeps the log of the data anonymization requests. Admin can use this information to remove the customer data from the third party services.

3.6 GDPR Rectification Request

OpenCart GDPR extension keeps the log of the data rectification requests. Admin can use this information to modify the customer data on the third party services.

3.7 GDPR Personal Data Report Request

OpenCart GDPR Plugin keeps the log of all the personal data requests.

Note: As of now the OpenCart GDPR Module by Knowband allows the store admin to share the details like Personal Information, Address Details, Newsletter Subscription, Shopping Cart Contents, Order Details, Admin can also list all the third-party service providers details and the physical location of the server along with the details of the hosting company.

3.1 General Settings

This tab of the OpenCart Spin and Win subscription popup allows the store admin to make the basic changes in the exit popup.

 

Enable Module: Select ‘Yes’ from the drop-down list to enable the OpenCart Spin and Win module.

Email Recheck: If enabled, the customers will be allowed to spin the wheel only once with a single email ID. This functionality prevents the repetition of email IDs.

Show Pull-out Tabs: If enabled, the admin can display a pull-out tab in the front-end of the site. In case, the store visitor is not willing to spin the wheel, he can click on the ‘I do not feel lucky’ link.

 

The customers can bring the wheel back on the screen by clicking on the pull-out tab as shown in the image below.

Wheel Display Interval: The admin can enter the interval after which the wheel will display in the front-end. By default, it is ‘0’ which means the customer will see the pop-up on every visit.

Set Coupon Expiry Duration: Enter the number of days after which the coupon code will expire.

Custom CSS: Enter custom CSS code here to make the custom changes.

3.2 Display Settings

The OpenCart store admin can change the display setting from this tab of the OpenCart Spin and Win plugin.

Minimum Screen Size: Select the minimum screen size with you to want the wheel to be compatible. The spin wheel work on all the screens above the selected one.

Maximum Display Frequency: Select the display frequency of the spin wheel here.

Hide After: Choose when you want to hide the popup here.

Set Fix Time: Select whether you want to display the wheel for a fixed duration or not. If he selects ‘Yes’, then, the admin will be required to fix the start and end time as shown below:

Where to Display: Select the web pages of the site where you want to display the popup. The OpenCart exit-intent popup can be placed at the entry or exit of the store visitors.

When to Display: Choose the moment when you want to display the spin and win popup. The reward popup can display immediately when a user visits the store, or after seconds of visitor’s visit or at the time of exit or when scrolling down some certain percentage.

  • Case I: If he selects “When Scroll Down %”  then the admin needs to enter the scroll percentage, after which he wants to display the popup, in the mentioned field.
  • Case II: If he selects “ After a time (seconds)”, then the admin has to enter the time in seconds, after which he wants to display the popup, in the mentioned field.

Geo Location: Select the geolocation where you want to display the spin wheel. If he selects Worldwide, then, it will display at all the places where the site is operating.

3.3 Look and Feel Settings

The admin gets an option to change the look and feel of the spin from this tab of the OpenCart Exit Intent popup.

Select Theme: The OpenCart subscription popup comes with several background themes to choose from. The admin can select the desired theme depending upon various occasions like Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, etc.

Preview of the theme he selects will appear below the selected theme tab to see how it will look on the front end of the store.

Wheel Design: The OpenCart exit intent subscription popup even offers pre-designed spin wheels. The admin can choose the one that matches the UI of the site.

Wheel Preview: The admin can preview the selected wheel design here.

Display Image: The admin gets an option to display the image or logo on the wheel. If he selects ‘Yes’, the admin gets an option to select the image to display as shown below:

The admin can change or delete the image by clicking on the respective buttons.

Wheel Background Color: Select the background color of the wheel from here.

Text Font Color: Choose the font color of the text for displaying on the wheel.

Text Font Family: Selected the font family of text for displaying on the wheel.

Button Background Color: The color of the buttons for displaying on the wheel can be selected from the color chart.

3.4 Text Settings

All the texts on the front end of the spin wheel is changeable from the Text Settings tab of the OpenCart spin and win module. The store admin can edit the Title Text, Subtitle Text, and Rules.

3.5 Offer Settings

The admin can edit the slices of the wheel from this tab of the OpenCart Spin and Win plugin.

 

Coupon Type: This specifies the type of coupon being offered. The admin can offer a Fixed or Percentage discount.

Label: Enter the label that will display at the front end of the wheel.

Coupon Value: Enter the value of the coupon offered.

Gravity: Enter the possibility of the slice showing up when the wheel is spun.

To edit the discount slice, click on the Edit button as shown in the above image.

3.6 Subscription Settings

The OpenCart email integrator has an inbuilt MailChimp and Constant Contact integrator. The email IDs captured by OpenCart spin and win extension are automatically synced with the respective account of the store admin.

The admin can enable the respective marketing tool by selecting Yes from the drop-down list. To set up the connection, enter the API key and Secret Token. Select the list and the email IDs will be synced automatically.

3.7 Email Settings

This tab of the OpenCart Spin and Win subscription popup allows the store admin to send promotional emails to the customers.

Coupon Display: Select where you want to display the coupon. The admin can either display it on the wheel or can send it via email. It depends on the option selected from the backend of the OpenCart responsive popup.

Email Subject: Enter the subject line of the email to be sent to the customers.

Email Content: Enter the content of the mail here.

3.8 Statistics

The statistical report of the coupons generated and the coupons used/unused can be viewed in this tab of the OpenCart email subscription popup module.

4.0 Website UI

The spin wheel popup will display in the front-end of the site as shown in the image below.

Once the customer wins a prize after spinning the wheel, the coupon will be generated as shown below:

The customer can claim the coupon by clicking on Continue.

This coupon code can be used on the checkout page to get the discount won.

Disclaimer: In case the “Spin and Win” wheel popup does not display at the front, kindly clear the cache or delete the cookies. Sometimes cookies prevent the popup from displaying at the front.

2.0 Installation Guide of Opencart Google reCaptcha Module

Before starting the installation process, you have to buy the Opencart Google Captcha module from the Knowband store. Once purchased, you will receive the following files on your registered email.

Now in order to install this Google reCaptcha on your website, follow the given steps:

1. Unzip the zip file. You will get the folders as shown in the image below:

2. Copy all the folders of the zip file in the Root Directory of OpenCart setup via FTP manager.

Steps to install Ocmod file using Extension Installer

1. Open the Extension Installer window from the admin panel.

2. Click on Upload button to browse and upload the install.ocmod.xml file.

3.0 Admin Interface of OpenCart Google reCaptcha Extension

After the successful installation of Opencart Google reCaptcha module for your website, you can implement version 2 and version 3 reCaptcha as per your business requirements. Navigate the settings in the given order: Admin Panel > Extensions > Captchas > Google reCaptcha.


The simple to understand admin interface of Opencart human verification extension is divided into four sections as:

  1. General Settings
  2. v2 reCaptcha Settings
  3. v3 reCaptcha Settings
  4. Look and Feel Settings

3.1 General Settings

  • Status: This option enables or disables the complete reCaptcha system from your website.
  • Enable Google reCaptcha for: With this option, you can choose the pages for which you want to enable reCaptcha feature.
  • reCaptcha for Login Page: This option allows you to select the type for login page as v2 reCaptcha or v3 reCaptcha.
  • reCaptcha for Registration Page: This option allows you to select the type for registration page as v2 reCaptcha or v3 reCaptcha.
  • reCaptcha for Contact Page: This option allows you to select the type for contact page as v2 reCaptcha or v3 reCaptcha.
  • reCaptcha for Forgotten Password Page: This option allows you to select the type for forgotten password page as v2 reCaptcha or v3 reCaptcha.

3.2 v2 reCaptcha Settings

Under this section of Opencart Google Captcha module, you can set the site key and secret key for v2 reCaptcha system.

  • Status: You can enable or disable status of reCaptcha version 2 using this option.
  • Enter Site Key: This option allows you to enter the key of version 2 reCaptcha.
  • Enter Secret Key: With this option, you can enter the secret client ID of version 2 reCaptcha.

In order to get site site key and secret key for v2 reCaptcha, follow the steps discussed in the 3.2.1 section.

3.2.1 Steps to generate API keys for v2 reCaptcha

1. Visit https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/v3.html
2. At the top ride side, click on “Admin Console”. Here, you can register your own website.


3. Set a desired label which will be used to identify your site in future.


4. Choose the reCAPTCHA type you want to add for your site. Here, you have to select reCAPTCHA v2 and then select the desired sub-type.
5. Enter a valid domain required for reCaptcha registration.
6. You can optionally add other email addresses to manage the site settings.


7. Accept the reCAPTCHA Terms and Conditions and click on “Submit” button.
8. You will be redirected to the next page where you will find the Site Key and Secret Key. Copy both the keys to the back-office.

3.3 v3 reCaptcha Settings

Under this section of Opencart Google Captcha module, you can set the site key and secret key for v3 reCaptcha system.

  • Status: You can enable or disable status of reCaptcha version 3 using this option.
  • Enter Site Key: This option allows you to enter the key of version 3 reCaptcha.
  • Enter Secret Key: With this option, you can enter the secret client ID of version 3 reCaptcha.

In order to get site site key and secret key for v3 reCaptcha, follow the steps discussed in the 3.3.1 section.

Note: If you have selected the reCaptcha type as version 2, then site key and secret key for version 2 reCaptcha should be filled into fields, else it gives an error message. Similar thing applies to version 3 reCaptcha.

3.4. Look and Feel Settings:

The Look and Feel settings tab provided in Opencart Google Captcha Verification Extensions allows the store admin to add custom CSS and reCaptcha theme color, providing more control and enhanced functionality.

Theme Color: The Opencart reCaptcha module provides “Dark” and “Light” theme color options. You can modify the theme color from this option. 

Custom CSS: The admin can modify the reCaptcha’s appearance by adding customized CSS in this section.
